GMA 350 - Political Geography Class Hours: 3, Units: 3 Prerequisite(s): GMA 100 or GMA 215 or Permission of the Instructor A study of the geographical influences on political actions as well as their consequences, particularly boundarymaking, boundary disputes, and geopolitical power. Location, distance, the distribution of natural and human resources have significant influences on geo-politics, both within and between regions and states. Concepts of territoriality include airborne, space-based, and waterborne possession and acquisition. Focus topics also include popular geopolitical narratives, place-based identity, environmental politics, and political ecology. MPM
