MGT 445 - Maritime Innovation

Prerequisite(s): Junior or Senior standing with priority given to IBL Seniors.
An overview of the history of innovation in the maritime industry and an introduction to recent breakthroughs. Topics include problem identification, innovation management, design thinking, building, hypothesis testing and taking a new product or process to market (both internal and external). Types of innovation, innovation in groups, teams and organizations will also be covered.
