MGT 435 - Marine Insurance

Prerequisite(s): Junior or Senior standing (First priority given to IBL majors).

An introduction to the history and types of marine insurance, its regulatory environment, types of ships, carriers, cargo, as well as forms, contracts, policies, different classes of risk, and types of claims. Chartering and brokerage are also introduced. Guest speaker visits as available.
